About two weeks ago we got little baby chicks. They were no bigger than an egg and they were sooo cute!
They have been growing very fast over the past few days and most already have wings and tail feathers. We got 32 chicks in the mail but a few died :( so now we have 25.
We put their water on a box covered with wire so if it spills it will fall in the box. Then we raised the box up because the chicks were scratching wood shavings in it.
We ferment their feed because it makes the feed go further and it's supposed to be better for the chicks. A couple days ago we took them outside and I put a few in a tree and they kept jumping and flying from branch to branch.
My Brother made perches out of dowels for them and they are loving it.
They love flying up to them, and once one flew out of the brooder so then we put wire over it.
Oh and the cone on top of the water is to keep them from perching on top and dirtying their water.
Goodbye.
